Roboform is a wonderfully versatile program that helps you keep your sanity by remembering all the logins and passwords you are using online.
This software works with Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Mozilla. You get more than your money’s worth for the $30 it costs for the premier version. A freeware version lets you try it out and keeps track of a limited number of logins. This program remembers all the details for multiple users (you just create multiple identities). It lets you create a master password as additional security for all your data. The fill-in form pops up every time you launch a page requesting login information. The program will even generate new passwords for you. This program is every easy to use. I am delighted too, that they offer updates often, to keep up with browser changes, and the free upgrades are simple and quick to install. Roboform has a quick link so you can store all your login information in a file and another link to let you print a list of your data. I have used this program for several years. It is amazingly helpful and glitchfree. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Revo Uninstaller
These days we install several software applications for our use or just to try it. If we find that software to be unusable, we will uninstall it. Any software we install in our PC creates folders files and more importantly, the registry entries.
While uninstalling trough the wizard given in the software package or through Add or Remove Programs option, not all the used files and folders are cleared from the system. There will also be many leftover registry entries. Sometimes these files get cleared during the nest system restart and sometimes they will not. To accomplish all these tasks at one go, Revo Uninstaller, a freeware uninstall utility, can be used. This utility works much faster than Windows Add/Remove option. This utility has been designed with such a fast algorithm. While uninstalling an application through this uninstaller it scans the application before and after the uninstall process. Once the normal uninstall operation is done, this Revo Uninstaller shows a unique window which provides the user with options to remove the additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys also. It is also capable of removing any broken installation. Besides featuring the Add or Remove option, the Revo uninstaller also has some other powerful tools such as advanced mode which enables the user to add program-specific registry key access to the context menu. There are also some tools available for PC optimization such as, the Auto run Manager which helps to manage the startup items, a Junk File finder which helps to remove all unwanted files from the system, and a Windows Tools access screen which groups up many important basic utilities under one roof. With all these features, this software seems to a much useful one for every PC users. It does not occupy much space for installation and more importantly it is a freeware. The updates for this software are available regularly and it can be done by clicking the update option in the application itself.
SquareUp Review
SquareUp is an awesome app/service that allows you to accept credit card payments directly through your iPhone or iPad. The fee is a modest 2.75% per swipe.
This could be a great solution for small vendors that don’t do a ton of transactions. There is no need for a merchant account, no monthly fees, and no setup costs. SquareUp will deposit your money directly into your account and they will even send you a free card reader. The card reader uses your audio jack and is about the size of a quarter. There is no limit to the number or amount of your transactions.
This is the most useful app/service for the “i” universe that I have found to date. It’s almost too easy.
Searching Hard Drive
Everyone knows that it takes forever to search for files on your hard drive. Well you may not have noticed it yet, but search is now much faster with Windows Vista.
If you go to your Start Menu on Windows Vista and search for a file, you’ll see that it appears right away. Try searching for “notepad” to see what I mean. So why is search faster with Windows Vista? The part of searching that takes so long on Windows XP and other operating systems is searching through the thousands of files on the hard drive, looking for the one you want. Windows Vista does this job ahead of time. Vista creates an index of these files, so that when you need something, Vista only needs to look at the index, instead of searching through your entire hard drive.
Simple Backup Solution
1 and 2 terabyte drive prices are now priced as commodities and they are easy to plug in and back up a hard drive on a PC.
They ensure those precious family photos and even the great American novel aren’t lost in a power surge or carelessly slopped cup of steaming coffee. The only hard part about back-up these days is remembering to do it. Second Copy has been around long enough now to be called a veteran at rescuing people from hard drive disasters. Instead of remembering to back the data up, say, every Saturday afternoon, Second Copy (not free but inexpensive considering its importance) is extremely easy to use. It solicits answers to simple questions: Which files? Copy them where? When and how? With about 5 clicks a back-up regime is created: daily, weekly, whenever. Plug the drive in, set Second Copy running and a faithful back-up of your important data is created whenever you told it to be. Simple.
How To Use A Flash Drive
I am an frequent traveler and I frequently find myself on all parts of the globe. I am also a geek at heart which is why I like to bring my toys with me. But which is the most vital and important toy I bring. My laptop? DVD cam? Digital Camera? Smart Phone? It is actually my flash drive.
I have a inexpensive password encrypted flash drive that I carry with me at all times. When I travel, my drive contains scanned images of my passport, drivers license, medical insurance card, travelers checks, all my credit cards (both sides), and of course my flight and lodging information. Right when I check in, my flash drive is usually hidden in my belongings or locked in a safe upon my arrival. It is my ultimate backup for everything. The information that it contains is absolutely priceless when you most need it.
Generally speaking, if you do wind up needing it, you are most likely in a time of crisis. I also store some photos and video from my home, just in case something happens when I am gone, I then have a current inventory of my belongings. You will appreciate this if you ever have to deal with an insurance company. Another handy feature is a current list of phone numbers. This may sound a bit too simple but if you own a cell phone as most people do, most people program numbers in and never actually dial them anymore. If your phone was lost or stolen, how many numbers do you remember. These are just a few new ways for you that you may want to think about using your hand little flash drive like I do.
